Meet Obsidian Blue

So I’ve been a fan of Obsidian’s work for a while now and I thought it only right that I post a few of his joints for your listening pleasure. Obsidian’s work is the type of music you can ride to, get high to, or just chill to, your pick ladies and gentleman. This post is long overdue so shouts out to Obsidian for being cool calm and collective.

About Obsidian Blue
Clarence Wesley Jr, also known as Obsidian Blue, was born in Jacksonville, NC on April 29, 1978. He started making music in 2000, but he has been involved with music as young as 8 years old, when he first started playing piano. He started on trumpet in his middle school band, then moved on to baritone and tuba at Richlands High School. He continued playing tuba at North Carolina Central University, where he became first started getting in to classic jazz artists and becoming more familiar with 70’s R&B artists. He attended NCCU for 3 years before getting placed on academic probation, and from there he joined the Air Force.
Shortly after arriving at his first duty station, Tinker AFB, Oklahoma, Obsidian was first introduced to Sonic Foundry’s Acid, a program which he still uses to this day. In combination with Sound Forge and Goldwave, patience, and a splash (just a splash) of hazelnut, Obsidian Blue uses elements of jazz, r&b, soul, rock, anime, soundtracks, video, and pretty much anything he can connect to his computer to create the sound of beyond. Legendary status would be very nice for him to attain, but the main focus is making great music.
Obsidian Blue is currently stationed in Wichita Falls TX, where he is a Military Instructor. He has a wife, Brandie, to which is has been married to close to 6 years with a son (Anthony) on the way.
