Lil Wayne to Play Jesus
January 7th, 2010 | By Isis
T Pain is producing a cartoon for Adult Swim called ” The Return of Freaknik” . In this Cartoon Lil Wayne plays the voice of a character named Jesus. The one hour cartoon special is about a group of up-and-coming rappers who travel to Atlanta for a battle of the bands contest. (Freaknik was a 1990s gathering of students from historically black colleges, first in Atlanta, later in Florida.)
Malcolm Snax Update: The 2012 Apocalypse has been moved up to coincide with the air date of this abomination cartoon… 03/21/10! …….but I am kind of salty I missed out on Freaknik!

Another pair of dope kicks. The Wallabee-like shoe is available right now in Asia and very select Nike retailers. Fans of ultra-clean kicks will drool over these especially since they are hard to find. Pick these up as soon as possible if you really want a pair.

These are a dope pair of kicks. While I have laid off buying kicks for myself, I still find a man with a sick shoe game mad appealing.
This mainly black shoe features a canvas upper with a cream leather heel and pull tab. In a left field style decision the eyelets are sewn inside the lace stay in the same cream leather. White vulc soles round this design out and the leather laces just seal the deal. Another interesting thing about these shoes is that the sole is reversed in a sense with the logo tag facing the toe and the reinforcing facing the heel. These will be available in a few other color ways. Via Complex
“I Found RnB” Singer L’Renee
January 7th, 2010 | By Isis

It’s been a while since I did this installment but while browsing the internet I came across a young lady by the name of L’Renee. It turns out this songtress has a few albums already under her belt. IN 2004 she dropped Special Songs and in 2007 she dropped “2nd chances”, which was given rave reviews. 2009 saw 2 releases, the first simply entitled Jazz (a collection of Jazz standards), and her 3rd album proper, Europe. L”Renee is doing something special for her fans for the New Year. As a way of rewarding existing fans, and hopefully gathering an army of new followers, L’Renee has decided to release her whole catalogue on a ‘name your own price’ (even FREE) basis via her bandcamp site. Hurry up and get your download on though because this offer ends January 31s. To download this and preview some tracks hit the jump (more…)

DyVineDyalogue: Teach Me How to Love
Recovering from heartbreak is hard. You feel like you’re at your lowest and that if the bottom had a bottom, you were on it. This is because Love is a strong emotion and it requires a lot out of us. We put our hearts, minds, bodies and all of our energies into it. We incourporate our lives, our families and our friends into love. It forces us to into a vulnerability like no other; a willing subjugation full of happiness, hope, sadness, lies, truth, good times, and sometimes, heartbreak. So, when it’s time to let go… it’s hard. You try to push it aside and move on. That’s good. But the truth of the matter is… that love left you scarred. How do you open up again? How do you show that unimpeded, unadulterated, pure, honest love again? (more…)
