DyVineDyalogue: Total Control
I can admit it. I am controlling at times. It comes along with being a Taurus. I’m stubborn and I want things my way, so the best way to get that is to take control. However, it seems that every interaction in our daily life is a struggle between the dominant and passive; there is a mixture of those who control and those who are controlled. Relationships are no different. In every relationship, there is one person who has everything lined up while the other is following the schedule. In a healthy relationship, this role switches; dependant upon each others strengths and weaknesses. Nonetheless… there’s the control issue.
In more recent years, I’d have to say, women have begun to step forward as more controlling entities. Having to be the sole breadwinner in households across America, women are coming into the realization, “Any thing a man can do, I can do better.” Women are starting to take the more independent, dominant role in different aspects of their lives; domestically, financially, and also in their relationships. The woman of the new age has so much more to juggle than her historical counterparts. The modern woman, most times, has school, kids, a job, and a man. Learning how to control and properly order her life has become essential to her survival. However, this has also created issues. Women, who control, sometimes, forget when to relinquish that control. Many men I know, or have spoken with, attest to the fact that some women are so independent and controlling that they act as though they don’t need a man. And here is where the rift begins.
