The film highlights the history of black tattoo culture and how it began in the south despite a heavily segregated climate for black artists seeking entry. We cover signature styles and how those styles have developed and influenced newer artists over the years. Tattooing in the media is another important aspect, as it is the biggest factor of how the cultures influence has spread. Check out the website and support it when it screens in your city.
In Ice-T’s directorial debut, he brings us inside the minds of some of hip-hop’s legends. He handpicked thirty emcees to represent his vision for this film and I cannot WAIT! for this to drop. I grew up on all kinds of music thanks to my Pops and hip-hop was one of them because he looked at it as an art form and not just a bunch of noise. I can appreciate a film like this and hope that the unfamiliar get familiar.

Check out the trailer for the much anticipated Sparkle starring the late Whitney Houston, Jordin Sparks, Ceelo, Derrick Luke. R Kelly was the music consultant which made me chuckle and the movie is suppose to feature new music from Whitney
